My skin is clammy
my mind is blank
only ones near me
are the emptiness and darkness
of my own soul

I feel nothing from or for anyone
at this time
alone am I,
all alone
friends not knowing try to get in
family too
but all the doors are locked
dead bolts in place.

A smile still plastered on my face
from years of experience
this I can still do
the illusion of happiness
I can show to you.

I can give but not receive

to come by more,

JABBERWOCKY

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:

The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'

Dragon Dreams





Have you ever wondered what a dragon dreams

when he lays down his head at night


Do you think he dreams of maidens fair

or a shining armored knight


And dreams of flying off to a far and distant land

where he can live in peace, dreaming on tropical sands


Where no one wants to slay him and he can be at ease

living a life in freedom like the wind playing in the trees


Does he dream of other dragons back in days of old

when skies were dark with thousands, that's what I've been told


And in his dreams does he wonder why the mortals hated him so

why they hunted and killed him wherever he did go


They say he was fierce and evil with fire in every breath

but this was only in self defense when into his lair they crept


They killed his mate and offsping and robbed him of his home

and now the few remaining dragons forever the earth do roam


They are trying to find their freedom, a place to dwell in peace

somewhere they can start over, this proud and magnificent beast


Now let the dragons sleep tonight,

dream their dreams till morning's light

When daylight comes may you bid them adieu

As they fly to their island...to a peace so new
